Albany Times-Union; Education Reform Group Says School Turnaround Program Has Been ”Hollowed Out”
DFER TX launched in August 2022. While the chapter is new, DFER’s presence in Texas is not.
Since 2020, DFER has supported Legacy 44 (L44), a volunteer-led state Political Action Committee (PAC) that invests in Democratic candidates for elected office in Texas who, following in the path of our 44th President Barack Obama, will promote a strong public education system. Together with DFER, L44 supported 23 members of the Texas House Democratic Caucus last cycle and eight state legislators and state board of education members in 2022.
