Riley Kitts is the Policy Director for DFER Colorado (DFER-CO). Riley has spent several years in Colorado politics, working both inside and out of the State Capitol. Prior to joining DFER-CO, he was the Sr. Director of Policy & Government affairs at the Colorado Children's Campaign. Some of Riley’s proudest policy accomplishments include the passage of free, full-day kindergarten, expansions in health insurance access for kids and pregnant people, improving systems that serve Colorado families with low incomes, and the establishment of Universal Pre-K and the new Department of Early Childhood.

Born and raised in Denver and graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, Riley lives in his hometown with his wife and son and enjoys watching every second of CU Buffs and Denver Broncos Football.
